Hey! I’m Caroline Amsler. I am a freshman member of the West Ranch High School Dance Team. This ten year journey of dance seems to be just beginning. Ever since I got my first award (3 year) I have been counting down the years until my ten year plaque and solo. Now that I’m here, I am excited as ever! I want to thank every one of my teachers for helping me every step of the way: Carla, Shannon, Shauna, Wendy, Michelle, Denise, Nancy, and Carrie, you all have inspired me in such a special way. My parents have a lot to do with my dance life. Driving to the studio everyday of the week, along with rehearsals, pictures and recitals. We have costumes over flowing our closets, thank you guys! I love you soo much! My big brother, poor guy, has had to tag along to so many dance events. But after every recital he’s the tall red head walking toward the stage bringing me flowers. My little sister, a crazy lil dancer, would tag along even though she wasn’t performing. My family is the best and all the friends I’ve made at the studio, the greatest. I love you all!! <3

Hey, it’s Monica! Ten years! Thinking about that is crazy! It feels like only a couple of days ago that my mom was walking me in, in my little tutu, to Miss Carla’s class. But I have been dancing here for just about my entire life!! I love this place, and I will never leave it! After I graduate high school I hope to be assisting classes, working at the front desk, or doing anything else Carla needs me to do! I feel so lucky to be dancing here and to be on junior company! (love you guys!!!) I was also one of the original little company members! I have cherished all the years that I have been here and can’t wait for the years still to come!

Christina Brown
My name is Christina Brown, and I have been dancing for ten years at Dance Studio 84. I have obviously changed a lot in the last decade, and I’m no longer the same little girl walking into her first ballet class nervously holding her mom’s hand. The nerves didn’t last long, during the very first class I relaxed and fell in love with dance. Now I’m 14 and I just started high school. But I still have the same passion and love of dancing and performing. Dance has been a constant joy in my life, as well as a creative outlet and way to relieve stress. I’ve made some great friends, learned from amazing teachers, and made memories I will never forget. It seems like no matter what is going on in my life, I can always forget the world when I’m dancing. I’m so thankful to my parents, as well as the rest of my family and friends for supporting my passion and coming to my shows. I’m so lucky to be surrounded by amazing people, and without you guys I wouldn’t be who I am today. I hope I can continue dancing the rest of my life, and that I’ll always be around fun, loving people. Thanks, love you guys!

These ten years at Dance Studio 84 have meant a lot to me. I remember when I first started here and we used to form a giant ring-around-the-rosy circle with the whole class. I remember the fluffy tutus and itchy costumes that would later be converted to Halloween costumes. Here in the present, my skills have improved dramatically, and dancing is just as fun as it always was. Dance Studio 84 will always have a place in my heart.

Hi! My name is Taylor Gordon and I am twelve. I have been dancing with the studio since I was two. Over the years I have taken jazz, tap, and ballet. I could not have done it without the help of my teachers (Wendy, Carrie, Shannon, Carla, and Connie). I can remember when I was little and got to get dressed up with make-up for my dance recitals. It made me feel like I was all grown up. I am in 7th grade now and I attend Placerita Junior High School. Because of all my years of training I was able to make the advanced dance class at my school. I appreciate everything the studio has done for me and I look forward to many more years of dancing.

Hi peoples! I am Alexa Hesseldenz. I am 12 years old and attend Rancho Pico Junior High. I have been dancing at 84 for 10 years and enjoyed every minute of it. It seems like yesterday I had my first performance to “Tiny Dancer”, when I was 2 years old. It has been 10 years since then but my
passion for dancing still remains the same. I would like to thank all of my friends that stayed with me through the years. You are all beautiful dancers and some of by bestist friends. I would also like to thank all my teachers who helped push me and make me stronger. I would not be the dancer I am without you. Mrs. Wendy, Mrs. Carrie, Mrs. Shannon, Mrs. Connie, Mrs. Shauna, Mrs. Michele and Mrs. Carla. And most importantly I would like to thank my parents. From leaving my shoes at home when we are at recital, to driving me back and forth to the studio, soccer practice, and school, you have always been there for me. You are truly the best parents in the world. I am soooo proud to dance at 84. You are like my home away from home. Luv U all! Alexa

Hey Everybody! I’m Emelie Larsson-Dally and I am very proud to say that I have been dancing at Dance Studio 84 for 10 years! Whooo, the time I have always dreamed about since I was a little girl has come! I am 15 years old and have now been with Company 84 since I was at the age of 8, and now I am dancing as a Senior. I started dancing at this studio when I was 5 years old, and from the start, I just fell in love with this incredible art form. I started with tap, jazz, and ballet. Now, I have become involved with various other genres including hip hop, lyrical, odern/contemporary, musical theater, jazz-funk; and have continued with jazz, tap, and ballet. This wonderful studio has provided me with so many amazing opportunities like performing, receiving professional dance instruction, and to reach my full potential. I have also created lots of unforgettable memories with my time here such as helping with annual recitals, Nutcrackers, Company 84 ‘field trips’, conventions, holiday and high school dance shows, parties, competitions, regular classes, and the list goes on and on! I have grown astonishingly as a dancer and mentally throughout all my years of hard work, determination, passion, commitment, and love. Every moment of being here at my‘second home’ is something I wouldn’t ever exchange it for with anything else. I have been given the ability to progress on my strength, flexibility, technique, performance, expression, and to believe that anything is possible. I am so thankful to have such an amazing facility and awesome staff that contributes so much! To all of my teachers- you are truly an inspiration, have helped me out so much, and you guys are the best! I would definitely not be where I am now without all of you! I have also made an abundance of friends, which I now call my family. Everyone means a lot to me and I care about everyone so much. Dancing here at Dance Studio 84 has changed my life and will always have a permanent place in my heart and I will forever embrace it. Along with my dance career, I attend Canyon High School as a 9th grader and enjoy cheerleading and gymnastics. I am so excited I have accomplished my goal of 10 years of dancing, and am fortunate that I was able to fulfill this achievement at Dance Studio 84; I cannot wait to see what else is in store for me here at the studio. So let the fun times keep rollin’!

Katie Mohrhoff
Hi! I’m Katie Mohrhoff, and I’m 13 years old. I am an energetic, upbeat person who almost always sees the positive side of life. My favorite color is hot pink, my favorite meal is enchiladas, and my favorite recording artist is Carrie Underwood. I started taking dance as a result of my dancing in the aisles and saying, “I can do this!” at my grandma’s tap recital when was was two and a half! Ever since then I have loved dancing, especially tap. I like the recitals, the colorful costumes, and performing. When I dance, I really don’t focus on anything else. The outside world just goes away. When I’m not dancing, I go to school – I am in the National Honor Society – and I love to take part in the Passion Play up at Grace Baptist Church. Spending time with my friends and family rounds everything out. Dance has taught me that if you persevere, you can accomplish anything.

Hi!  I am Ashley Oliver and I am twelve years old.  I can remember when I was two, standing at the dance room door in my pull-ups trying to learn the dance routine my sister was doing.  I wanted to be a dancer like my big sister.  One day Connie saw me trying to learn the routine her class was doing and asked my mom if I wanted to be a dancer.  My mom said “yes” and I have been dancing ever since.  Over the next ten years I have trained with Carrie (jazz), Connie (combo), Carla (tap, jazz), and Shannon (tap).  Dancing has taught me so much about team work, technique, working hard and achieving my goals.  I attend Placerita Junior High School and I’m in seventh grade.  Prior to starting Placerita, I had to try out for the dance class.  There are three levels depending on your ability to dance.  I was one of only a few seventh graders who made the Advance Dance Class.  If it wasn’t for all the years of training and dedication, I know I would not have made the class.  The last ten years has been a blast, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me.

Courtney Sabile
My name is Courtney Sabile, I am currently a 16-year-old freshman at West Ranch High School and take tap lessons with Shannon and ballet lessons with Wendy and Michele four times a week in Dance Studio 84.  I also take piano lessons, violin lessons, and am involved with my high school’s orchestra.  I am very honored to have been in this studio for 10 years.  Starting dance at 5 years old taught me to be very active and manage a busy schedule, which I believe will be a great tool to use in my future career as a doctor or dentist.  This is one of my greatest accomplishments in my life and is something so unbelievable that I could actually achieve such status.  I thank my current and past teachers Shannon, Michele, Wendy, Carla and Miss Connie for being there to teach, improve and enhance my dance skills.  I also would like to thank my father Romen Sabile for financially supporting my dance by paying the tuitions and my mother Wilma Sabile for sacrificing her time to drive me to and from the studio and also I thank my twin brother Josh Sabile, my uncles, aunts, grandparents, cousins and my friends at the studio and school for always being there to support me and watch my performances.  And of course lastly I thank the studio so much for making great memories through the learning process of the art of dance and my performances in the summer recitals, competitions and past Nutcrackers.  I look forward to making more memories and performing my 10-year solo this summer.  God has blessed me with such gifts of talent and great people who love and care for me.  Dancing will always be ingrained in my heart and I will never forget it.

The ten years have flown by so fast. Nutcrackers and recitals every year, year after year, have never gotten old. When I was little I dreamed of the moment that I would finally get my ten year award.  I appreciate all the time and effort my teachers have put into me throughout the years.  Dancing is a passion of mine and I appreciate my teachers, Carla, Shannon and Wendy for doing everything possible to have me reach my fullest potential and become the best dancer I can possibly be. I’d also like to thank my parents for the many trips to the studio to get me to class. Last but not least, thank you Grandma and Grandpa and the rest of my family for sitting through many performances just to see me dance.
